What the seal says

That the house bearing it has shown where its goods come from, that its plates are its own, and that the origin it claims survived an independent reading. It is a statement about honesty of source — not about quality, price or service, which no outside party can honestly certify.

Who may bear it

• — Any merchant who has passed a Veil reading within the last twelve months.
• — Any forge or house holding a standing charter with Warborn Blades.
• — Any storefront entered into the public register at the Mark.

How it is withdrawn

A seal is not a possession. If a bearer's origin claims stop holding, the register entry is struck and the mark stops verifying — publicly, and on the same day. That is precisely why it is worth carrying.
