The Keeping Oath
Lay thirty percent down and the house keeps your piece in your name while you pay it off over six months, at your own pace. When the oath is paid whole, the steel rides to your door.
This oath is strict. This is not a charity — we sell edged steel, and this is no trade for the wavering. If you cannot commit, do not swear. No mercy is given, and there are no exceptions.

The law of the oath
- Thirty percent of the whole reckoning (price and carriage) is laid down to swear the oath.
- You have six months from the day you swear to pay the whole. Pay as often and as much as you please.
- You must make a payment at least once every 45 days.
- Go 45 days without a payment, or reach the end of six months unpaid, and the oath is forfeit. You lose your claim on the piece you swore for.
- Forfeit coin is not lost: it becomes a Warborn Steel Credit equal to every coin you paid, spent at full retail price on in-stock Warborn steel of that value. Choose a lesser piece, or add coin for a greater one.
- Steel Credit is never paid out in cash. Carriage on the redeemed piece is yours, or collect it in person. Claim your steel within twelve months of forfeit.
- There are no cancellations and no cash refunds on a Keeping Oath. Swear only if you will see it through.
- The steel ships the day the oath is paid whole, after the Lawful Edge and proof of age.
- Oath coin is held in its own account, apart from all purchase coin, until the oath is paid or forfeit.
How to swear
- Take your seat at the Hearth — sign in or make an account. Every oath is bound to it.
- Open any piece in the hall and choose “Swear the Keeping Oath.”
- Read the law, tick that you accept it, and lay the thirty percent down.
- Pay on your oath any time from My Oaths in your account.
