The Charter is sealed for a year and a day, and while it stands, the house stands with you: its own price, its own gate, its own generosity.

The Barred Gate, held open

No soul takes standing in this house unseen. Present positive photo identification once at the rite, and the House remembers the proof against your hearth for as long as your charter holds — you are not asked for papers again at every visit. Those without a charter meet the gate each time they come to the door. This is not a toll. It is the reason children never reach the steel.

Swear three hundred in a single vow and the house bears the carriage itself, however heavy the steel.

The Bloodright — $600.00

Swear six hundred in steel in a single vow and the Annual Charter is gifted to you outright — a year and a day, no coin asked.

First Sight

When a new forge signs its name to the house, the charter-bound see the steel first — before the hall is ever told.

What the hall asks

Does it renew itself?

It is sworn for a year and a day and must be re-sworn. Let it lapse and the standing is struck from the roll — the price, the gate and the boons go with it. You may rise to a higher rank at any hour; the new term begins the day it is sealed.

Must I still show identification?

Once. The rite is taken a single time, and the House holds the proof against your hearth for the length of the charter. No papers at every visit.

Is my March warband safe without a charter?

Always. The roll of your warband is kept against your hearth-account whether you are charter-bound or not. The gate never costs you a bearer.

Where does the coin go?

To the house's own ledger. This page never touches a card.
