Your march is safe at the gate

The Barred Gate and the castle vault are two separate things. The gate may ask your proof of age again on a later visit — but your March profile, your warband, every field held, every piece of spoil and the whole of your lineage are kept in the vault under your name and handed back the moment you step through. Nothing of your march is ever lost, cleared, or begun again.
Those who take the Charter are not asked for proof again at all — one rite, honoured for the length of their standing.
