About HEMA Practice Swords, Feders
HEMA practice swords, feders, and wasters for sale at Warborn Blades — steel meant to be swung at a friend. Learn the art before you carry the edge. A training sword is blunt, balanced like the sharp it imitates, and built to take the repeated impacts of longsword sparring without failing.
When choosing a training sword, the flex and the mass distribution are what separate a good feder from a dangerous one. A feder (the German longsword training weapon) carries a thick, flexible blade that absorbs the energy of a bind; a nylon waster is safer for beginners and costs less but does not feel like steel. Every ware page states the overall length, the blade length, and the weight where the forge declares it.
Every piece in this hall is held by a licensed dealer and ships from the United States. The Herald's guide to swords you can actually swing explains the difference between a training sword and a sharp, and why the distinction matters for safety.

Questions at the Door
- What hema practice swords, feders & wasters does Warborn Blades carry?
- 142 pieces stand in The Sparring Ground today — hema, feders, wasters and blunt steel. Steel that is meant to be swung at a friend. Learn the art before you carry the edge. Every piece is held by Warborn Blades as a licensed dealer of melee arms and armor, and ships from the United States.
- How much do hema practice swords, feders & wasters cost?
- In this hall the crown runs from $144.99 to $2,534.99, with the middle of the rack near $294.99. Every price shown is the price paid — no hidden dues are added at the vow beyond lawful sales tax and carriage.
- How long are these pieces?
- They measure 1.5" to 51.5" overall. Each ware page states its own reach; where a measure was not given by the forge, we say plainly that our reckoning is an estimate rather than pretend to a number we were not told.
- Do I have to be eighteen to buy?
- Yes. Warborn Blades sells edged and impact arms only to buyers eighteen years or older, and the gate verifies age before any steel is shown. Some states and cities restrict particular patterns; the buyer is responsible for the law where the parcel lands.
- What if the steel arrives damaged or is not what I wanted?
- Unblooded steel may be sent back within 30 days of arrival. There is never a restocking toll — the full price of the piece comes back to you. The road home is yours to pay, unless the piece came to harm on the road, was faulty, or was not what you ordered; then the house bears the carriage both ways. Speak to the Steward's Ear and a return writ is issued the same hour, or call the house at 1-800-368-8131.
